Women are stereotypically supposed to wear tight clothing revealing their body type. The past few years, women have been embracing a baggy, masculine style, similar to the 90's.
For women, to be comfortable and trendy simultaneously is usually unheard of. The baggy fit trend bridges that gap; you can look good and still be comfortable. It is so easy to pair a t-shirt with a loose trouser and the right shoe to look like a woman who means business. As a college student, I love looks like this that are fashion forward yet I am still cozy enough to sit in a classroom all day. This look is perfect for fall because the tailored jacket is an added layer of warmth. I've also seen women done up a little classier, like Lissy Roddy in the above middle photo. It is not uncommon for people to wear a masculine item, like a suit, and pair it with feminine accessories such as a stylish heel, a lace body suit, or a handbag. Some girls go the revealing route and wear nothing at all underneath.

With winter just around the corner, puffer coats and baggy pants will become my go-to. As shown above, this blogger has mixed masculine clothing items but put her own feminine twist on the outfit. The puffer coat is cropped, accentuating her waist, paired with cargo pants that show off her curves. I like how she wears her Jordans with a handbag, giving her boyish look a feminine flair. That being said, I have also seen people wear corsets with puffer coats, baggy jeans, and Nikes; the combination of the styles is unique to each individual who attempts. Women are finally comfortable in their everyday look, all the while expressing who they are.
What masculine item are you most likely to wear in your everyday wardrobe?
